Villa Carlotta 2015 | Italy

Built at the end of 17th century in a natural basin between lake and mountains, Villa Carlotta is a place where nature and art live together. The perfect harmony displays masterpieces in the gardens, including sculptures and fountains. Thanks to Gian Battista Sommariva; a politican and a patron of arts who bought the villa in 1801; the place became the most important halting-place with its fascinating garden, facing the peninsula of Bellagio.

However, in the second half of century, the villa was bought over by Princess Marianne of Nassau as a gift to her daughter Carlotta (thus, the name it gets) during her wedding with Georg II of Saxe-Meiningen who was passionate about botany. Spring-springing (Part 2) | 2015

The first day of Spring 2015 in Italy! How exciting that we can finally sow seeds outdoors without worrying of dangers of frost. Unfortunately, our garden faerie Alisha has not been feeling well, so she couldn't join our adventure today.

Brought outside my Lemongrass, assuming it should be fine. I also noticed that I might have actually grown a Bay baby tree without realizing. The seed from last year must have germinated over the Winter and now it has developed into something I could identify.

Spring-springing (Part 1) | 2015

Spring has sprung! YES! No more stiff muscles, abdominal pains and crystallized honey in the jar. So, for the first time ever, I'm inviting all of you to our humble spring garden. Introducing Alisha, a curly-headed garden faerie who is also our baby girl. She is always outside when there is sun, tending her favorite flowers Camellia and Daffodils (and turning them into a pot of stew).

I felt inspired with the leaf buds showing and opening, at least I know that my hard work from last year has paid off.

Mostra Arte & Natura - Fiori in Villa 2015 | Parabiago (MI), Italy

Held to serve those who enjoy gardening, crafting and producing biological homemade goods. The event took place in Villa Corvini, Parabiago (MI), Italy, and we had fun seeing the species of flowers we have never known before. Nature is so lovely.
